A glimpse of History…

The origins of the farm can be traced back to 1978 when a group of young friends made the decision to leave the city and move to the countryside. They eventually chose to live in this place which at the time was an abandoned, untouched for many years farm house surrounded by greenery. Despite many difficulties, the group was fond of enthusiasm and willing to change.

Although, as time went on, most of the people left this place, the basis for the development of today’s Stefano Muratori Boscovecchio Organic farm had been laid. Stefano Muratori, the only person who has been living here ever since, together with his wife Paola, today maintains the same enthusiasm and willingness of the old times.

Our Activities….

Sheep Farming

Sheep farming is the main and traditional activity of our farm. We have Suffolk sheep, raised for meat. Our sheep every day graze freely in our fields where manure is the only organic fertilizer used. Little lambs follow them to drink the milk of their mother sheep. During the cold winter season, sheep are nurtured in a sheepfold and fed with our natural and organic forage. We sell lambs weighing at least 20 kg each Our sheep received full ICEA organic certification

Bovine Farming

In our farm you will have the chance to see our Grey Alpine cows. (traditionally taken to Alpine pasture) Our little calves stay with their mothers for up to 6/7 months after birth to be then sold to other farms.
Our animals are used to live free without any kind of limitation.

Spelt Cultivation BIO

We plant and grow spelt. We decorticate and package most of our spelt and turn the remaining part into flour . The Mill of Torgiano, exclusively treating organic seeds, is responsible for using grinding stones to turn our spelt into flour.

Lavender Farming

Another important and traditional activity of our farm is Lavender farming.
Our lavender fields are located in a special place, distant only 10 minutes walk from our home.
Since there are many curiosities and interesting tips about it, we’ve decided to dedicate a specific section to our lavender.

Jam Production

We make delicious and healthy jams using the fruits we directly pick from our fruit trees.
We have apple, plum, cherry, walnuts trees and blackberry bushes. The percentage of organic brown sugar contained in jams is less than 25% for each kilogram of fruit used.

Growing Vegetables

We have a big vegetable garden “offering” a good variety of vegetables for both our self-consumption and direct sale (directly at the farm).
We only use composted manure as fertilizer.
hens and geese are free to move all around the farm, THIS means fresh eggs everyday!
Our cats and loyal dogs, Milla, Rotolo and Viola keep us company

…we try our best to live in harmony with the world surrounding us, offering our animals a decent life and protecting the balance of Nature…

    L'accoglienza di Paola e Stefano è stata come sentirsi in famiglia , il posto è un angolo di vera natura a due passi dalla meravigliosa assisi ma immerso in una tranquillità che scalda il cuore e dona pace all'anima. L'alloggio in una vera fattoria , una casa di campagna piena di animali , ben tenuta e accogliente. Grazie a Paola e Stefano due gran belle persone :-))) Elena

    La estancia en vasa de Paola y su esposo Stefano ha sido extraordinaria. En mi viaje por el camino de Asis buscaba un lugat acogedor y simple,como un hogar en contacto con la nayuraleza. Todo eso lo encontré y más aún en el trato cordialísimo y cálido de los anfitriones que ofrecen al viajero la comodidad para quedarsw más tiempo que lo planeado.Recomiendo este lugar para el descanso y el encuentro de lo profundo con la naturaleza y las personas gentiles y amables de ese rincón de Asis

    L'esperienza è stata perfetta! Cosa dire di Paola e Stefano. Due persone meravigliose, sensibili e ospitali. Hanno reso speciale qualche giorno di relax. Il nostro bambino è stato felice di vivere con loro e di condividere i ritmi di tutta la "famiglia" di gatti, cani, pecorelle, cavalli etc di Paola e Stefano. Ottima accoglienza, disponibilità, precisione e cura nelle indicazioni. Tutto questo condito dalla loro socievolezza, la loro meravigliosa storia personale e il silenzio rilassante dei luoghi che circondano casa loro hanno reso questo soggiorno indimenticabile soprattutto per il nostro cucciolo che ancora oggi ci chiede di tornare per giocare con Paola, Rotolo ed "Etano". Noi torneremmo anche per le ottime crostate di Paola e per le conversazioni interessanti intrattenute

    Paola has a great big heart and is very kind and inclusive. She invited me to join their family dinner which i really appreciated! Plus it was delicious! She gave me a walk about to see the beautiful views. They are high up in the hills in pure naturalezza! They grow lavender and waiting in the guest bedroom was a little sachet of her home grown lavendar and a lovely soap. Her husband Stefano, was also very welcoming
